Bilvapriya - Residential Project
Bilvapriya is one of our residential projects. This residence is the magnificent brick façade; it is the combination of Classic and Rustic look with one piece crafted frame (door). It is a residence which started from a concept of “THOTI MANE “& got modernized with a level added up with few features. We wanted the resident to experience the traditional feel while living in between the modern city. So here we introduced earthy material like exposed brick, Kota - Jaisalmer flooring, laterite walls, lime stone etc. The planning was a simple square shape where we were inspired by “Form Follows Function” motive. Terracotta Jalli wall works around the skylights are the existing elements, which makes you feel the running shadow throughout the house like Play of Shadows. The open kitchen was intended for well simplified design with Ikat fabrics, sandwiched between glass for shutters and Kalamkari art was designed as panel design for breakfast counter. The stairs were well designed in such a way that it just looks like staircase well. And the garden space was fenced in L shape. We have two niche bathrooms created to suit their life style - one bathroom goes very simple with an impressed leaf pattern on cement, along with a wood burning fire place. And second bathroom is a modern classical bathroom with standalone bathtub below a skylight.
“A sustainable individual house, which has a lot of glamour all by itself in architecture” was built with natural materials and details. The rooms were good with movable teak almirahs, bed with four posts and with some chest of drawers. All together this was a rustic and traditional residence. We wanted the resident to experience the traditional feel while living in between the modern city.
